Rosalie M. Kirchoff, 96, of Evansville, passed away peacefully at the Solarbron Terrace on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, with her loving family by her side.
Rosalie was born on October 12, 1929, in Evansville to the late Jacob P. and Alma Pauline (Schmitt) Moers. She was a former member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church and a longtime member of Resurrection Catholic Church, the Seniors Citizens Club at Resurrection, VFW Post 1114 Ladies Auxiliary, and Little Sisters of the Poor Auxiliary. Rosalie enjoyed playing clabber and Uno with her grandchildren. She worked at United Savings Association and Evansville Federal Savings Bank prior to retiring.
Surviving Rosalie are her children, Jerry Kirchoff, Kris (Stan) McDaniel, Becky (Phil) Dosher, and Susie (Bob) Wigginton; a sister, Jean (Paul) Sammet; a brother, Ralph (Carol) Moers; eight grandchildren, Jason (Abby) Kirchoff, Jeff (Eileen) Kirchoff, Bryan (Summer) McDaniel, Adam (Kaela) McDaniel, Kim (Jason) Kinnaman, Nathan (Lindsey) Dosher, Jamie (Josh) Hulett, and Michael (Melissa) Tepool and nineteen great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Rosalie was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Clem Kirchoff in 1998; by sisters, Mildred Stout, Frances Kuester, Catherine Moers, Eileen Hupfer, Louise Kennedy, Mary Laymon, Irma Weil, and Betty Jo Touya; by brothers, Robert Moers, Jerry Moers, and Jack Moers and a daughter-in-law, Mary Jo Kirchoff.
There was a Mass of Christian Burial held at 11 a.m., on Monday, August 24, 2026, at Resurrection Catholic Church, Rev. Jerry Pratt officiating. Entombment followed in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Friends visited with the family from 2 until 6 p.m., on Sunday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street and from 10 a.m., until service time on Monday at Resurrection Catholic Church, 5300 New Harmony Road, Evansville, IN 47720.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staffs of Solarbron Terrace and Heart to Heart Hospice for all of their kind and compassionate care.
