Donald W. Shoaff

Donald W. Shoaff, 87, of Evansville, Ind., born November 16, 1938 to Waldo and June (Goodley) Shoaff in Evansville, Ind., went to heaven to join his family, Monday, August 17, 2026 at his residence at Solarbron in Evansville, Ind.

Don was a 1956 graduate of Bosse High School in Evansville and then attended Indiana State University. Don had a great sense of humor, there was no one he couldn’t strike up a conversation with. He attended Bible Study Fellowship at Trotter House, he taught Sunday school for many years, and help establish many new churches. He worked at Chrysler for 36 years. He also loved to dance and listening to music. Being in the outdoors was one of his favorite places, he enjoyed camping, horseback riding, fishing and boating. But most of all he was a beloved father, grandfather and great grandfather.

Don was preceded in death by his two wives: Mary Frances (Elrod) Shoaff and Susan Lee (Robinson) Reynolds Shoaff; daughter: Paula (Combs) Martin and son: Paul Combs; and one granddaughter.

He is survived by a daughter: Kelly Dawn (Shoaff) Berry; step children: Stephen Reynolds and Elizabeth Mumford along with a sister: Dinah Barnett: nine grandchildren and many more great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held 11:30 a.m., Friday, August 28, 2026 at Werry Funeral Home in New Harmony, Ind., with burial in Stewartsville Cemetery in Stewartsville, Ind.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m., Thursday, August 27, 2026 at the funeral home.
