Roger Paul Hunt

Roger Paul Hunt, 84, of Tuscumbia, Ala., passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2026. Roger enjoyed a career in education teaching German. He cherished traveling to Germany with family and students, creating lasting memories and bringing the classroom to life through shared experiences. Roger’s enthusiasm touched many lives, and he will be dearly missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents Chester and Mildred Hunt; brothers David Hunt and Robert Hunt.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Marlene; children Eric Hunt and Kevin Hunt; step-children Lisa Kreiger, Lori Choquette, Janine Aldridge, Jeff Beidl; siblings Tom Hunt and Janna Pirkle (Phil); sisters-in-law Bette Hunt and Deann Hunt, and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family welcomes those wishing to celebrate Roger’s life to join them at the Poseyville Community Center September 5 at 60 N Church Street from 1 to 7 p.m., CDT.
