Roger Lee Alldredge

Roger Lee Alldredge, 65, of Mt. Vernon, Ind., passed away June 23, 2026, at West River Health Campus in Evansville, Ind. He was born December 30, 1960 in Laurel, Miss., to the Albert Alldredge and Betty (Robb) Uebelhack.

A hard-working man throughout his entire life, Roger grew up farming and carried that strong work ethic with him during his 29-year career at ADM before retiring in 2017. Above all else, he was devoted to providing for his family. Roger believed in taking care of those he loved and did so with generosity, loyalty, and quiet strength.

Roger was a quiet man with a big heart and an even bigger sense of humor. While he may not have been the loudest person in the room, those who knew him best knew how funny he could be. Roger had a deep love for music and enjoyed life’s simple pleasures. He loved telling stories, spending time with family, and took great pride in being a father and grandpa. Roger also enjoyed fishing, attending concerts and riding his motorcycle.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Betty and Paul Uebelhack and Albert Alldredge; and brother-in-law, Bobby Williams.

Roger is survived by his daughter, Brittany (Kent) Gottman; son, Billy Gates; grandchildren, Noah, Karter and Alaina Gottman and Colter Gates; sisters, Debbie Williams and Brenda (Ronnie) Wagner; nieces, Jessica (Chris) Davis, Lauren Wagner (Adam Boerner), Paige (Justin) Alexander and Stephanie Flanigan; nephews, James Williams and Michael (Jamie) Carroll; and great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral service was held at 12 noon on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at Schneider Funeral Home, 512 Main Street, Mt. Vernon, Ind., with Rev. J.D. Rose officiating and burial followed in Bellefontaine Cemetery.

Visitation was held from 10 a.m. until 12 noon, service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
