Rodney Gene Pendle

Rodney Gene Pendle 71, of Evansville, Ind., Passed away May 6, 2026. Rodney was born in Evansville, Ind., on Feb. 25, 1955, to the late Cleo Gene Pendle and Wanda June (Cole) Pendle of Cynthiana.

He was a 1973 graduate of North Posey High School. In the 70s, his teen years in Cynthiana, he used to make chopper bicycles and the super tall bikes. He had a love of classic cars, corvettes and sports cars.

He also loved music playing his guitar. Music was one of Roddy’s greatest joys. He loved music deeply and found special happiness in playing the guitar. Whether he was listening to a favorite song or creating music of his own, he appreciated the comfort and expression that music brought into his life. His love of guitar reflected his spirit.

He was always the cool brother and Uncle that came around to visit. He worked at Mead Johnson, Bernardin and Silgan in Evansville. He moved to Corpus Christi, Texas, where he loved to sail on his sailboat before moving back to the Evansville area.

He is survived by his sisters Lori (Tommy) Bryan, Kelly (Mark) Boyd, brother Tony Pendle and beloved Nieces and Nephews.

Rodney was preceded in death by his parents, son, Rodney Kiel Pendle, his Stepmother, Phillis Pendle, Sisters, Brenda Blair, Linda Brainard and Becky Chittenden.

No services will be held but a memorial may be held at a later date.
