Lisa Ann Norrington

Lisa Ann (Moore) Norrington, age 63, of Mt. Vernon, Ind., passed away October 1, 2026 at Mt. Vernon Nursing and Rehabilitation.

She was born August 16, 1963 in Evansville, Ind., to Hershel and Shirley (McDonald) Moore.

Lisa graduated from Mt. Vernon High School. In her earlier years, she worked at Toler’s Supermarket and later worked at the Mt. Vernon Thrift Shop for over 10 years. Lisa had a special love for animals, especially her beloved cat, Kaida. She also enjoyed caring for and looking after the neighborhood cats, making sure they were fed and cared for.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Troy Norrington; father, Hershel; and a nephew, Joshua Norrington.

Lisa is survived by her son, Zack (Scarlette) Norrington; mother, Shirley; brothers, Larry (Loni) Moore and David Moore; sisters, Becky (Jerry) Rush and Jeannie Hamilton; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Memorial Service will be held at 12 noon on Friday, October 9, 2026 at Schneider Funeral Home, 512 Main Street, Mt. Vernon, IN 47620 with Pastor Dallas Robinson officiating.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until 12 noon service time on Friday at the funeral home.
