Katrina Jean ‘Meme’ Edwards

Katrina Jean “Meme” Edwards, 76, of Mt. Vernon, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, September 30, 2026.

Katrina retired from General Electric in Mt. Vernon after many years of service. She loved her time with her family, her pool, crafting, shopping, dancing and her animals.

Surviving are two daughters and their husbands, Raena Edwards and Zac Stutsman and Amber Anderson and Adam Smith; a granddaughter, Alexis Anderson; step grandchildren, Jonathon (Misty) Stutsman, Dillon (Haylee) Stutsman, and Eli (Grace) Stutsman; many step great grandchildren, and loving nieces and nephews.

Katrina was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald “Poppy” Ricketts in 2019 and by a daughter, Mikca Rae Edwards in 1981.

Funeral services for Katrina were held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Pierre Funeral Home, Pastor Brian DeTalente officiating. Private entombment will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Friends visited with the family from 1 p.m. until service time on Saturday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 West Franklin Street.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
