Joyce Frashier

Joyce Frashier, 94, of Mt. Vernon, passed away on June 11, 2026. Joyce was born in Mt. Vernon on December 31, 1931, the daughter of Charles and Ruth Reinitz. She married Kenneth Frashier in 1976, and he preceded her in death.

Joyce held many jobs throughout her 94 years, but the most important was being a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She adored her family and cherished every moment she spent with them. Joyce was also a devoted Christian and a longtime member of Marshall Ferry General Baptist Church. She loved tending to her flower gardens and spending as much time outdoors as possible. She also enjoyed reading and working puzzles.

Joyce is survived by her daughters, Mary Ann (Gary) Dickens and Susan (Ted) Dismang; sons, Randy Burnett, Dan (Amy) Webb, Mike (Pam) Frashier, David Frashier, Billy (Dusty) Frashier, and Kenny (Shelly) Frashier; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and her sister, Doris (Joe) Hammer.

She was preceded in death by her husband; and her siblings, Merle, Don, Charles, Bob, Kenneth, Mildred, Helen, and Donna.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at 1 p.m. at Denning Family Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, with Rev. Tom Millar and Rev. Bob Pollard officiating. Burial will follow at Marshall Ferry Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Marshall Ferry General Baptist Church or First Christian Church.
