Elizabeth “Becky” Lee Wiedrich

Elizabeth “Becky” Lee Wiedrich, age 94, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2026.

Becky was born on March 16, 1932, in Henderson County, Ky., to Reeves C. Key and Cora A. (Hoy) Key. She was raised in Henderson County and graduated from Niagara High School in 1950.

In 1951, Becky married the love of her life, Milbert Wiedrich, and together they began their life in Roscoe, South Dakota, where they raised their three children. Later, the family relocated to Mount Vernon, Ind., where they established their home and built a life centered on family, faith, and hard work.

After her children were in school, Becky began working in the Mount Vernon School District cafeteria at the high school, where she faithfully served until her retirement at the age of 72. She took great pride in her work and in being part of the school community.

Becky was a woman of deep faith who loved her Lord and her church. She was devoted to creating a warm and loving home for her family and found her greatest joy in caring for those she loved. She lived a comfortable and fulfilling life in her Mt. Vernon home for 65 years before recently moving to Solarbron for nursing care.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Reeves and Cora Key; her siblings, Reeves Key Jr., Ruth Wiedrich, David Key, and Nancy Gibson; her beloved husband, Milbert Wiedrich; and her daughter, Deborah Wildt.

Becky is survived by her children, Marty Wiedrich (Cindy) and Michele Conroy (Charles); her grandchildren, Martina Abell (Brad), Joe Wiedrich (Stephanie), Nick Wildt, and Blayne Conroy (Macy); and five great-grandchildren, all of whom were a cherished blessing in her life.

Becky will be remembered for her steadfast faith, her gentle spirit, and her unwavering love for her family.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at the Denning Family Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, with burial to follow in Bellefontaine Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 12 p.m., until service time.
