Viking golf third in quad match at The Rustic Golf Course

The North Posey boys’ golf team traveled to Rockport, Indiana to play at The Rustic Golf Course last Wednesday afternoon in a quadruple meet against the host South Spencer along with Evansville Mater Dei and Wood Memorial.

Between Mater Dei, South Spencer, and North Posey, there was only an eleven-shot gap between the three schools for the top spot in the team scores. Mater Dei won with a low score of 169 shots with their top four golfers. South Spencer was second with 173 shots and North Posey in third place with 180 shots. Wood Memorial had no team score due to only having three players. It requires four golfers on a team to be eligible for scoring.

North Posey senior Ethan Bittner had another great day, being a co-medalist with Evan Stolz of Mater Dei. Both Bittner and Stolz each shot a 39 on the nine-hole par 36 course. Josh Freeman tied for seventh place with 44 shots. Camden Koester had a rough match finishing twelfth overall with 47 shots. Reid Kihn tied for fourteenth place with 50 shots.
