Viking Cub team continues to roll, wins 10th straight

The North Posey Cub baseball team has kept up their momentum since the one run loss against Princeton in their second game of the season. Since then, North Posey has done nothing but destroy their opponents.
Last Monday evening, North Posey played at home against the Boonville Pioneers. North Posey set the tone of the game early by scoring ten first inning runs to cruise to a 16-6 victory over the Pioneers. This win was the Vikings seventh in a row and improved their season record to eight wins and one loss.
Carson Lupfer got the win on the pitcher’s mound for North Posey. Lupfer threw four innings, allowing one hit, two runs, one walk, with three strikeouts on 64 pitches thrown. At the plate, Lupfer walked on one of his batting appearances in this win.
North Posey had 16 hits on the 16 runs scored in the game. Three Viking players hit perfectly at the plate in this victory. Noah Kirlin went three for three with a home run, triple, four RBIs, four runs, one walk, and a stolen base. Holden York went three for three hitting with one triple, two doubles, three RBIs, three runs, and a walk. Evan Beuligmann went three for three with two RBIs, two runs, and one stolen base.
Hunter Brandle went three for four with a home run, four RBIs, two runs, and a walk. Nathan Seagert went one for three with a double, two walks, one RBI, one run, and two stolen bases. Cruiz McGrew went one for three with one run, one stolen base, one walk, and a run batted in.
Brantley Wilkey went one for four with two runs and a stolen base. Connor Beuligmann went one for four with a stolen base and a run scored. Bailey Wathen was hit by a pitch.
Last Wednesday evening, the North Posey Cub baseball team played at home against the Princeton Tigers. Back on April 8, Princeton defeated North Posey 6-5 to give the Vikings their only loss of the season. Prior to this game, North Posey has not lost a matchup since the Princeton loss.
North Posey got revenge by beating Princeton 9-3 to win their eighth straight game and improve their season record to nine wins and one loss. The Vikings scored two runs in the first inning, one in the second inning, two runs in the fourth inning, and four more runs in the bottom of the sixth to get the victory.
The Vikings had eleven hits on the nine runs scored. Princeton had nine hits on their three runs in the game. Noah Kirlin was the winning pitcher for North Posey. Kirlin threw five innings, allowing eight hits, three runs, three walks, with six strikeouts on 94 pitches. Hunter Brandle threw two innings, giving up one hit, no runs, no walks with four strikeouts on 23 pitches.
At the plate, Kirlin went two for three with a double, two runs, a walk, and hit by a pitch. Connor Beuligmann went two for four with two doubles, one RBI, and two runs scored. Holden York went two for five with two doubles, two RBIs, one run, one walk, and a stolen base.

On Friday evening, the Viking Cub baseball team traveled to Huntingburg to take on the Southridge Raiders. Prior to this game, North Posey had won nine straight games in a row. After this Southridge game, the Vikings made it ten in a row, winning 6-0. For the season, North Posey has eleven wins and one loss.
North Posey as a team had seven hits in the game. Southridge was held to three hits as a team. Connor Beuligmann was the winning pitcher for North Posey. Beuligmann threw five innings, allowing three hits, no runs, one walk, with seven strikeouts on 70 pitches thrown and nineteen batters faced.
Hunter Brandle was perfect at the plate, going three for three with a home run, four runs batted in and a run. Noah Kirlin went one for two with a home run, two runs, one RBI, one walk and a stolen base. Carson Lupfer went two for three with a stolen base and a run batted in.
Nathan Seagert went one for two with a walk and a run. Connor Beuligmann had one walk, one stolen base and a run scored. Holden York walked and scored a run. Cruiz McGrew walked and stole a base.
