Ruth Ellen House

Ruth Ellen House, 70, of Evansville, Ind., born April 11, 1955, to Clarence Harold and Anna Lou (Brandenstein) Hess in Evansville, Ind., passed away, Thursday, March 12, 2026 at the Heritage Center in Evansville, Ind.

She worked as a Registered Nurse at Saint Mary’s Hospital for 20 years and Good Samaritan for 10 years. She loved Christmas, playing bingo and watching the Hallmark channel.

Surviving are her daughter: Lori Crawford (Mike); son: Ricky House; sister: Sharon Peyton; brothers: Benny Hess (Tammy) and Ron Hess; sister-in-law: Suzy Cox (Dan); nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents; brother: Harold Hess and a brother-in-law: Ron Peyton.

A Celebration Gathering was held 1-4 p.m., Sunday, March 15, 2026 at Werry Funeral Home in Poseyville, Ind., with burial at a later date in Bethsaida Cemetery near Stewartsville, Ind.
