Rodney Ira Cox

Rodney Ira Cox, 67, of Stewartsville, Ind., born May 26, 1958, to William and Dorothy (Brownfield) Cox in Evansville, Ind., passed away, Wed., March 18 2026 at Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville, Ind.

He attended Columbia Elementary School, Central High School and North Posey High School. He started his work experience part time as a carpenter and worked for Hirsch Construction in Evansville, Indiana, Jackson Construction in Newburgh, Ind., I-DEAL Auto Sales in Maryville, Tennessee, Central Tower in Newburgh, Ind, All State Towers and Tower Innovations in Newburgh, Ind., as a welder and fabricator. He received the Integrity Award in 2020 from his current employer Pittsburg Tank & Tower in Henderson, Ky.. He enjoyed fishing and deer hunting and loved animals.

Surviving are his wife: Tamara Laraine (Overton) Cox; step-sons: Jeremy Reeves and Jason Reeves (Sarah); brother: Mark Cox (Billie); sisters: Linda House (Denny), Sharon Farrar (Bub), Donna Wyrick; grandchildren: Kalei, Abren, Novia, Scarlett, Jasper, Camilla and Blythe Reeves along with several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents and brother-in-law: Phil Wyrick.

Funeral services were held 2 p.m., Monday, March 23, 2026, at the Werry Funeral Home in Poseyville, Ind., with burial to follow in Bethsaida Cemetery near Stewartsville, Ind.

Visitation was held from 11 a.m. until service time, Monday, March 23, 2026, at the funeral home.
