Judith (Judi) Anne Wampler was born on November 10, 1943, and was welcomed home by her Savior on October 8, 2026.

She was a loving mother to her three daughters, Lisa Laflin, Cheryl Seymour (JR), and Jessica Loving; a cherished grandmother to Dave Felis (Leah), Emily Winfield (Micheal), Tom Seymour (Anne), and Dusty Seymour (Becky); and a caring great-grandmother to Felix Winfield, Peyton and Ryder Seymour, and Kolby and Carter Seymour. Judi is also remembered by her siblings Mary Ann Carter, Bruce Kanuch, and Richard Nischan, and was preceded in death by her parents, William and Selina Wampler, her birth mother, Betty Olzanski, and her siblings Edwin Wampler and Cindy Olzanski.

Judi dedicated her life to serving Jesus, whom she accepted as her Lord and Savior at the age of seven. She lived her faith openly and generously, seeking to serve Him with love and joy in any way possible. Her daily prayer was to glorify God in all that she did, said, thought, felt, and read, and to allow Him to use her to His glory, living out Philippians 3:13-14, “… this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Jesus Christ.”

After retiring as a medical transcriptionist, Judi fulfilled her calling as a missionary, first as a summer Discovery Camp counselor in Lithuania, where she taught English and shared her testimony with young people. Judi then moved to Vilniaus, Lithuania, just shy of her 70th birthday, and volunteered with Vilniaus Minties Children’s Social Care Home for five years. Her love for the Lithuanian children and the expression of her faith remain strong through the work of Team M, a group of Lithuanian believers who continue the work Judi began.

Judi was an active member of Evansville Bible Church in Evansville, Ind., where her presence, her spirit, and her steadfast faith were deeply valued. Those who knew her often felt the warmth of her witness and the sincerity of her heart, and many would say she was welcomed into Heaven with the words, “Well done, my good and faithful servant.”

Though she will be deeply missed, Judi’s abiding faith, adventurous spirit, and curiosity for the world will remain a source of comfort and inspiration to all who were blessed to know her.

A memorial service was held at Evansville Bible Church (2001 Bayard Park Drive, Evansville, IN 47714) on Tuesday, October 20, at 1 p.m., CST. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Judi’s continuing Lithuanian missionary work.
