Jessie Mae Brame

Jessie Mae (Esche) Brame, 97, of Evansville passed away Monday, May 18, 2026. She was born April 15, 1929 in Mt. Vernon to Samuel and Amelia (Juncker) Esche.

She retired from Guardian Automotive in 1996 after 12 years. Jessie then went on to work for Sodexo. She graduated from Wadesville High School, and then took courses at Bromwell’s Business College. Jessie married James E. Brame in 1960. She was a member of Zion United Church of Christ.

Jessie was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Howard Esche (Dorothy) and Wilfred Esche (Rosemary).

She is survived by her sons, Mark Brame and Keith Brame (Brenda); grandchildren, Jayme Brame, Bo Brame, and Jacob Brame; nieces, Irma Donner and Lynn Griffin; and several great grandchildren.

A visitation took place on Friday, May 22, from 4 to 7 p.m., at Alexander Funeral Home West Chapel. A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 23, at 10 a.m., at Alexander Funeral Home West Chapel with burial following at Zion Lippe Cemetery.
