Imogene Fehrenbacher, 91, of Evansville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at Parkview Care Center.

Imogene was born on March 8, 1934, in Evansville to the late Jacob and Louise (Rexing) Orth. She worked for Shane Uniform Company and in the dietary department of Deaconess Hospital. Imogene was a longtime member of Saint Wendel Catholic Church, the Ladies Sodality at Saint Wendel and the Saint Ann’s Auxiliary of the Knights of Saint. John.

Surviving Imogene are her daughter, Brenda Fehrenbacher; five sons, David Fehrenbacher, Kenny Fehrenbacher, Mark Fehrenbacher, Glen (Rhonda) Fehrenbacher and Carl (Becky) Fehrenbacher; a sister, Shirley Holloman; grandchildren, Sara Fehrenbacher, Ryan (Emily) Fehrenbacher, and Jenna Fehrenbacher; great granddaughter, Lilly Smith; sister-in-law, Betty Orth; brother-in-law, Vernon Marx and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Imogene was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Francis Fehrenbacher in 1990; by sisters, Erlene Peak and Angela Marx and by a brother, Harold Orth.

There was a Mass of Christian Burial held at 10 a.m. on Monday, November 3, 2025, at Saint Wendel Catholic Church, the Rev. Ed Schnur officiating. Burial followed in the Saint Wendel Catholic Church Cemetery.

Friends visited with the family from 2 until 5 p.m. on Sunday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 West Franklin Street and from 9:30 a.m. until service time on Monday at Saint Wendel Catholic Church, 10542 West Boonville New Harmony Road.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Saint Wendel Catholic Church Cemetery Fund.
