LEGAL NOTICE: NOTICE TO BIDDERS

Notice is hereby given that the Township Board of Black Township in Posey County, Indiana, will receive sealed bids for the construction of an office expansion project.

PROJECT SCOPE

The project consists of excavation, concrete work, paving, and all other tasks associated with the construction of a turn-key 40’x60’x9’ building to be used as office space for the Trustee’s located at 5773 Industrial Road in Mount Vernon, IN 47620, in accordance with the plans and specifications prepared by the township.

BID SUBMISSION DETAILS

Sealed bids will be received by the Township Trustee at 5773 Industrial Road in Mount Vernon, IN 47620 until 12:00 PM local time on Wednesday, August 12, 2026. Bids received after this time will be returned unopened.

Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the Township Office at 3:30 PM local time on Wednesday, August 12, 2026.

CONTRACT REQUIREMENTS

• Compliance: The successful bidder will be required to furnish performance and payment bonds, as well as proof of insurance covering workers’ compensation and public liability.

• Prevailing Wage: Bidders must comply with all applicable Indiana state laws regarding equal opportunity, non-collusion, and prevailing wage standards.

DOCUMENT INSPECTION

Plans, specifications, and bid forms are on file and available for examination at the Black Township Trustee’s Office. The Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bidding process.
