William “Randy” Bentley, 67, passed away on February 13, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with heart disease. Born on October 23, 1958, Randy spent much of his life in Princeton, Ky., where he built lasting friendships and shared many years with family, church, and community.
Randy had a lifelong love for stock car racing. Whether watching from the stands or lending a hand as part of a pit crew, he enjoyed being close to the action and the brotherhood that came with it.
He was known for his easy smile and warm greeting. Randy was always willing to lend a helping hand, especially when someone needed assistance with a project. His kindness and cheerful presence will be remembered by all who knew and loved him.
Randy is survived by his two stepsons, Allen (Shannon) Stephens and William Stephens II; step-granddaughter, Leia Stephens; brothers, Michael Horn, Paul Horn, and Bill (Gloria) Meredith; sisters, Angie (John) Walsh, Stephanie (Rodney) Cole, Sherry Breeden, and Gayle Caton; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Bentley; son, Jamie Bentley; parents, William and Nell Bentley; and sister, Susan Sprinkle.
No services are scheduled at this time.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made in Randy’s memory to the American Heart Association.
Denning Family Funeral Home is overseeing the arrangements.
