Adam Michael Head, age 45, of Mount Vernon, Ind., passed away suddenly on February 12, 2026 at Deaconess Hospital. He was born June 11, 1980 in Evansville, Ind., to Michael and Jeanette (Mohr) Head.
Adam grew up a member of Saint Matthew Catholic Church and was a 1998 graduate of Mount Vernon High School. He later earned a degree in Information Technologies from the University of Southern Indiana in 2005. Adam built a career in IT, working for several companies, most recently serving as a consultant for Deaconess Hospital. For a number of years, he also owned and operated his own business, Tech Head PC. Adam genuinely loved solving computer problems for friends and family and was proudly known as the go-to “tech guy” for those around him.
Adam’s greatest joy in life was his son, Oliver. He loved spending time with him and imparting his knowledge of technology and computers in him as Oliver grew older. Adam loved his nieces and nephews immensely, enjoyed making them laugh and proudly wore the title of “Uncle Apple”.
Through Oliver’s education at New Tech Institute, Adam became familiar with robotics competitions and began volunteering with the school’s robotics program. He eventually took on the role of “Head” mentor and then Coach Head. Adam was incredibly proud of the Thunderbolts Robotics Team, and all its members. He was also a member of the Evansville Bicycle Club for several years, where he enjoyed riding throughout the county. Adam had a love for photography and treasured the time he spent with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alfred and Aurelia Mohr, and Frances and Ollie Stoutland; Uncles David Mohr and Ron Jourdan; and his aunt, Joyce Mohr.
Adam is survived by his son, Oliver; parents; brother, Aaron Head (Jennifer); sister, Sarah Kissel (Dan); nieces and nephews, Emmett, Abby and Elliott Head, Logan, Nathan and Benjamin Kissel; the mother of his son, Tarrah Georges (Sean); and many aunts, uncles, cousins and very close friends.
