Viking trap team is first in PAC

The North Posey fall trap team completed their fall season last week. Their season lasted five weeks with competitions against five schools in their conference. North Posey continues to excel in this sport and take off where they were last spring when the Vikings won the Class 2A State Championship for the second time.
During the first two weeks of the competition between the other five schools in the conference. North Posey placed first, scoring 1,106.50 points in week one and 1,036.00 points on week 2. The Vikings finished second in team scoring on weeks three through five. Lapel High School outscored North Posey in each of those three weeks but when it came down to the overall total score. North Posey defeated Lapel 5,385 to 5,339.50.
Chase Will of North Posey was the top shooter with a score of 49 in week five. Will finish as the Vikings top shooter during the five weeks at the range. Out of 176 members in the conference, Will was ranked second overall. As for the state, Will was ranked sixth out of 369 shooters.
Carter Debes was ranked second on the Vikings squad shooting and scored a 47 on week five. For the conference, Debes was tied for third place out of 176 members and tied for seventh out of 369 shooters in the state rankings.
Carden Kissel was third on the team shooting for North Posey, scoring a 45 on week five of competition. In conference play, Kissel was ranked tied for seventh out of 176 shooters and tied for sixteenth in the state out of 369 shooters.
Brayden Baehl finished fourth on the Vikings team and shot a 46 in week five competition. Baehl was ranked tied for tenth in the conference play out of 176 shooters and tied for nineteenth place in the state rankings.
Jacob Nellis placed fifth on the North Posey shooting squad for the five weeks. On the final week of shooting, Nellis scored a 45 at the range. Nellis was ranked fourteenth in the conference out of 176 members in the league. For the state rankings, Nellis was ranked tied for thirtieth out of 369 shooters.
