There is apparently hope for future generations of the Nix family involved with the future of Nix Companies in Poseyville, Ind. Matthew Nix, Fifth Generation President and CEO and his brother Adam Nix, Vice President of Business Development, made the announcement on Thursday.

In front of a large crowd gathered in one of the meeting rooms at the company’s location on Frontage Road, the brothers proudly announced the addition of a new headquarters in Poseyville. Growth has spurred the addition so that all the offices can more efficiently be in one location. The facility will house executive leadership along with human resources, marketing, information technology, and accounting teams.

Prior to the formal announcement, another long-time Poseyville family member Joe Neidig saluted the Nix family and what they have been able to accomplish over the past 125 years in Posey County. A member of Heart of Poseyville and the Hometown Ventures Group, the developers of a new subdivision just up the road from Nix, Neidig had nothing but praise for the organization’s commitment to the northern Posey County community.

“There are some things that you have to say when you have been around for a little while,” Neidig said, prefacing his remarks. “It’s not just an incredible day for Nix but it is an incredible day for Poseyville and the surrounding community.”

“It means so much more when something is rooted in Purpose,” Neidig continued. “I want to congratulate a well-earned moment in time for Matthew, Lindsey, and Adam and Bill and the entire Nix family and every single Nix team member and members past.”

“It’s not just about steel and concrete but it is about a lot of things,” he said. “It’s about hard work, trust, and integrity, but mostly about doing things the right way.”

Leaders say the new headquarters highlights continued growth for Nix Companies and a long-term investment in Posey County.

“To be able to build our headquarters office here, I think is really a neat milestone, and good Lord willing, we will move in on our 125th year anniversary. I think it’s just a statement that we’re here to stay in Poseyville,” said Nix President and CEO Matthew Nix.

Leaders expect a 20 percent increase in workforce for Poseyville.

“This is more than a building; it’s a symbolic investment in the future of our business and our long-term commitment to Poseyville,” the company President said. “Our hometown means a great deal to us, and we aspire to create an inviting space that our customers—new and old—along with our broader community can be proud of.”

Equally important,” he continued, “We are building a collaborative environment for our team—one they feel excited about and proud to be part of each day. In the design, we’ve worked to blend tradition with a forward-looking vision.”

Nix pointed out that he has in mind all the team members and the responsibility that leadership has to those members so they may be able to continue to prosper.

“Curating one’s space is underrated,” Nix said. “In a time when people are being asked to do more and more with less and less, some things have been lost along the way. Beauty is one of those things. It makes people proud to work somewhere, and it inspires them. This isn’t anything extravagant but in the context of where we have come from here in Poseyville, it is bordering on that.”

Nix told the audience that he wanted to build something not representative of who the company is today but rather what the company aspires to be and that people are proud of. He would like for the community and employees of the company to be able to look back someday and say this was a pivotal move as to what the company has become.

Construction is being completed in partnership with Acura Engineering and GBE Group, with an anticipated completion date in spring of 2027.
