Kim A. Benthall-Wilson

Kim A. Benthall-Wilson, 57, of Mt. Vernon, Ind., was reunited with her family and celebrated her 57th birthday with all those she loved, leaving behind her husband and many other special family members and friends to cherish the memories they
shared with her.
Kim was born on September 12, 1969, the only child of Paul and Ruth (Schneider) Benthall.
Kim was a graduate of Mt. Vernon High School. Throughout her life, she held a few different jobs; however, the farm was always her true love. Growing up as her daddy’s girl, Kim loved helping her dad on the farm whenever she could. Later, she went to work for her uncle, Dale, and cousin, Andy Schneider, where she had worked for the past 23 years. It was something she truly enjoyed.
Kim was a friend to many and was always there for anyone who needed a helping hand. She had an outgoing personality and loved giving people a hard time. Kim was a die-hard John Deere girl and an avid collector of anything John Deere. She also enjoyed relaxing and getting lost in a good book.
Kim is survived by her husband, Brian Wilson; stepchildren, Nicole (Kurt) Greene and Devin (Jessica) Wilson; six grandchildren; Aunt Anna Marie Searcy; Uncle Dale (Anita) Schneider; and Uncle Ray (Monica) Schneider; two sisters-in-law and four brothers-in-law; special cousin, Andy Schneider; and many other cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. She also leaves behind her beloved dog, Sheba.
Kim was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Ruth Benthall.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at Denning Family Funeral Home, with Rev. Dennis King officiating. Burial will follow at Bellefontaine Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
