Kathy Gail Upshaw

Kathy Gail Upshaw, age 81, of Fla., formerly of Mount Vernon, Ind., passed away on February 24, 2026 at Solarbron in Evansville, Ind. She was born on October 8, 1944, in Mount Vernon, Ind., to the late James Stremming and Florene (Culley) Decker.

Kathy enjoyed traveling with her husband in their motor home, especially their memorable trip to Alaska. She also loved crafting, sewing, and reading. Kathy looked forward to her weekly card club gatherings with her girlfriends in Fla. She cherished spending time with her granddaughters, particularly their special month-long motor home trip out west, creating memories that will be treasured for years to come.

Kathy is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Richard Upshaw; daughter, Nikki (Kevin) Collier; granddaughters, Amber Collier and Autumn (Isaac) Blankenship; sister, Gwen Forister; niece, Teona (Rich) Bender; and great-nephew, Kanin Bender.
