James Earl Reich

James Earl Reich, age 65, of Mount Vernon, passed away March 5, 2026, at his home. He was born January 18, 1961 in Evansville, Ind., to Joe and Betty (Gunter) Reich.

Jim enjoyed working on cars.

He was preceded in death by his uncles, Mike Gunter, Charles Hart, Keith, Rex and Curtis Reich; aunts, Diane VanMeter and Laura Lee Reich; and his sister-in-law, Linda Reich.

Jim is survived by his parents; daughters, Samantha (Mike) McGrew, Jamie Stephens and Autumn Reich; six grandchildren; brothers, Tony Reich and Glenn Reich; and a niece, nephews and cousins.

Funeral Service were held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, March 9, 2026 at Schneider Funeral Home, 512 Main Street, Mount Vernon, Ind., with Yancey Toon officiating burial followed in Bellefontaine Cemetery.

Visitation was held from 9:30 until 11:30 a.m. service time on Monday at the funeral home.
