The University of Southern Indiana is working closely with Oakland City University (OCU) to support students and employees following recent announcements affecting programs and operations at OCU.
Recognizing the uncertainty and disruption these changes may create, USI is offering resources, personalized guidance and academic pathways to help OCU students continue their education with minimal interruption.
USI teams are prepared to work with students individually to review academic progress, maximize the transfer of credits, map a clear path to completing degrees and provide career counseling.
“We recognize what a challenging moment this is for the OCU community,” said Steven J. Bridges, USI President. “We understand that every student’s situation is unique, and we are ready to provide personalized guidance that reflects your goals. We can offer clear options and individualized support to help you stay on track and move forward with confidence.”
Dedicated support services will include in-person and online individualized advising, admissions assistance and financial aid guidance to ensure a student-centered transition.
USI also is offering:
• A waived application fee for OCU students applying to USI
• The opportunity for an OCU $1,200 scholarship subject to eligibility
• Access to additional scholarships opportunities
• Career counseling and planning resources to support long-term goals
OCU students considering attending USI are encouraged to connect to begin working on a personalized plan. Available resources and next steps can be found at USI.edu/OaklandCity.
USI also encourages OCU faculty and staff who are in need of employment to review current openings on the USI Human Resources website.
