Mount Vernon swimmers score well in high level talent pool

The Mount Vernon boys and girls swimmers traveled north to the Center Grove Holiday invitational to take on some more challenging competition over the holidays.

The teams swam very well, with almost every swimmer hitting a lifetime best swim for the day. The Wildcats came out with four individual victories in the streneous competition: Camas O’Daniel 200 breaststroke, Ozzy Jankowski 200 butterfly, and Peyton McDaniel 50 free and 100 IM.

The unusual meet format allowed for some longer events and opportunities. The boys doubled their total points over last year’s results. The Wildcats looked strong coming off of a productive Christmas training block. The Wildcats hosted an invitational no Saturday then look forward to the PAC Conference Championships the following week.
