Angela Kay Davis

Angela Kay Davis, 60, of New Harmony, Ind., passed away peacefully at Linda E. White Hospice Care on October 9, 2026.
Angela was born in Evansville, Ind., on May 4, 1966, to Milton “Mick” and Lou Ellen (Murray) Happe. She attended North Posey High School and later studied accounting at Ivy Tech Community College.
Throughout her life, Angela held many different jobs and always found ways to help others. She drove a Head Start bus, worked as a caregiver at a group home, worked in the kitchen at New Harmony Health Care, and spent time working at Harmonie State Park. She also volunteered at the New Harmony American Legion and could always be counted on to lend a hand wherever she was needed.
One of the quiet ways Angela showed her love and respect for others was through the family CDs she created for funerals. You could always count on Angela to put together these special treasures for grieving families. She volunteered her time and refused to accept money for her work. To Angela, creating those CDs was never about being recognized or compensated; it was her own way of honoring the person who had passed and paying respect to the family left behind. Those treasures became a lasting reminder of the love and memories shared.
Angela was a quiet, back-row, out-of-the-limelight kind of gal. She never needed to be the center of attention. Those who knew her will remember her for her witty, dry sense of humor and the way she could make people laugh with a simple comment or perfectly timed remark. She had a caring heart and showed her love for others through the many ways she helped and served those around her.
Angela was preceded in death by her beloved husband: Olin Davis; her parents: Lou Ellen Happe and Milton “Mick” Happe; grandson: Dimitri Fisher; aunt: Darlene Martin; uncles: Jerry Effinger, Ronnie Happe, Bud Martin and David Murray; and her cousin: Josh Martin.
She is survived by her three sons: Scott (Rebecca) Fisher of New Harmony, Bryan Happe of Evansville, and Zack Davis of New Harmony; grandchildren: Brody, Austin, Noah, and Lincoln Fisher and Carter, Makayla and Kasson Happe; honorary step-dad: David Gaines; siblings: Lischelle Happe, Cindy (Dennis) Wright, Matthew (Amy) Happe and Daniel Happe.
She is also survived by her nieces: Baylee (Nick) Pate-Crumbacher, Brandi (Troy) Lewis, Amorah Myers, and Mia Martin; nephews: Robert (Rhys) Lamberg, Michael O’Brien, Dennis Wright III, Jaden Myers, and Kyden Myers; aunts and uncles: Deb (Brian) Headden, Tom (Beth) Murray, Vera Murray, Sharon Effinger, and Shirley Happe; along with many cousins, extended family members, and friends who loved her dearly.
In keeping with Angela’s wishes, she will be cremated and laid to rest beside her husband, Olin Davis, at Maple Hill Cemetery in New Harmony.
A short service celebrating Angela’s life was held 11 a.m., Tuesday, October 13, 2026 at the Werry Funeral Home in New Harmony, Ind.
Visitation was from 9-11 a.m., Tuesday, October 13, 2026 at the funeral home.
Angela may have preferred to stay quietly in the back row, but the love she gave, the lives she touched, and the memories she leaves behind will keep her close to those who knew and loved her.
