AI--I’ve had my fill

Seems AI is the new buzzword. Most of the videos and pictures we are entertained by are AI generated.
College students are using AI to write documents and essays.
Business people are using AI to write contracts and do business evaluations.
Preacher’s are using it to write sermons with!
It seems to be everywhere and taking over.
In my opinion people have a hard enough time thinking for themselves as it is, and I’m thinking of how easy would it be for AI to turn us all into robots. Kinda scares me.
Anyway…
It intrigued me so I decided to see what I would look like if AI could generate me some more hair. I was highly disappointed when my picture instantly came back and I looked like senator Rand Paul’s kin…
My mentor use to tell me “Don, don’t believe anything you hear and only half of what you see.”
Now that we have AI I’m thinking you can’t believe the “half of what you see” part either.
I think I’ve had my fill of AI.
Ima go back to playing in the dirt now.
Y’all have a good day and don’t forget to think for yourselves.
Why do I worry?
Every year since I started farming for more than 35 years now, I’ve had the fear of going bankrupt.
Spring is the worst time of year for me. Hundreds of thousands of dollars going out with nothing much to show for it and no guarantee of a return. It almost makes me ill. I get irritable and my demeanor goes to pot. I don’t sleep at night because I worry. The last 4 years have been rough, we’ve just been holding on... surviving.
My uncle used to say “no worrying at all won’t get you outta bed in the mornings, a little bit of worrying is ok, because it keeps you motivated, too much worrying will make you sick... you gotta find that middle ground.”
I’m feeling a little at peace this morning after I read Luke 12:24
“Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?”
I know I can only control so much, I just have to put the rest in Gods hands having faith and hope that things work out.Thing aren’t always good... but God is always good!
