LEGAL NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Notice is hereby given that application has been made for the rezoning of certain real estate lying in Center Township, Posey County, Indiana, to make changes in the Zoning Map and Zoning Ordinance of Posey County, Indiana, pursuant to The Posey County Unified Development Ordinance for the following described real estate:

PREMISES: Part of Section 8, Township 5 South, Range 12 West lying in Center Township, Posey County, Indiana. More commonly known as 7511 Blake Rd. and Off Blake Rd., Wadesville, IN. Containing 4.5 acres more or less. (Complete legal description is on file at the Posey County Area Plan Commission Office).

NATURE OF CASE: Petition to rezone property from an A-1 (General Agricultural) Zoning District to R-1 (Low Density Residential) Zoning District under The Posey County Unified Development Ordinance.

HEARING: The petition has been set for public hearing before the Area Plan Commission on October 8, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at the Hovey House at 330 Walnut Street, Mt. Vernon, Indiana. Written objections to the proposal that is filed with the Executive Director of the Area Plan Commission before the hearing will be considered. Oral comments concerning the proposal will be heard at the hearing. The hearing may be continued from time to time as may be found necessary.
