Robert Lee Darr

Robert Lee Darr, age 70, of Mt. Vernon, Ind., passed away July 30, 2026 in Evansville, Ind. He was born August 21, 1955 in Evansville to the late Donald Edward and Martha “Jean” (Casper) Darr.

Bobby graduated from Mt. Vernon High School and dedicated 24 years to General Electric before retiring in 2006. He enjoyed watching football on the weekends, going on adventures and, most of all, spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Luke Samuel Darr; granddaughter, Tatum Moore; brother, Donny Gene Darr; and his beloved dog, Chi Chi.

Bobby is survived by his daughter, Megan Darr (Levi Orth); daughter-in-law, Nicole Burnett; grandchildren, Robbie Darr (Hope Malin), Trayven Burnett, Eli Rogers, Jori Moore, and Amara Orth; great-granddaughter, Ka’Lijah Burnett; brother, Joe Darr (Gizelle); and nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., on Thursday, August 6, 2026 at Schneider Funeral Home, 512 Main Street, Mt. Vernon, IN.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m., until 1 p.m., service time, on Thursday at the funeral home.
